What is a Partluck?  It's kind of like a potluck, but members are invited to bring old hardware and various pieces of upcycleable materials to share with other members.  These materials are then stripped down and built into various other projects as the night progresses.

    -  7ZIP for encrypting Files in transit.

Share cryptography tools, and hang out with other interested peoples.

A Crypto Party is a gathering to learn and discuss computer Cryptographic tools, privacy, first amendment rights, and responsible legal methods of using these tools.  This is an  "Explain it like I'm 5 years old" (ELI5) level course.

The motivation is to empower regular people to protect their private data in an era of widespread surveillance. If you want to go further than just info, bring a functional laptop.

What to bring

• Something you want to steampunk. 
Think nerf guns, cheap goggles, walking sticks, or costume items.
• A craft supply to share. 
Examples include Copper spray paint, gears, bolts, wire wrap, e6000 glue etc.

SYN Shop and the Henderson District Public Libraries have created a series of 21 STEM (Science, Technology, Engineering, [Art], and Math) classes that are free to the public. These classes will run from January to June of 2015 at each of the Henderson Library Branches. The classes are geared towards kids from 8 to 18 years of age and parents are encouraged to participate to get the most out of the experience.
