For this next soldering work shop, we're going to be assembling the DEFCON Darknet Badge.  This kit is one which I designed for the DEFCON Darknet Contest, and is designed to be easy for anyone to solder and entirely hackable. This kit can be used in the on going contest, as well as be used as a functional Arduino.

Earlier this year, fellow makers and members of SYN Shop helped fund the success of the Robot Army Starter Kit on Kickstarter! This campaign held by Mark Koch and myself (Sarah Petkus) has been in production mode all summer long, and now at last the kits are just about ready to be deployed...

Learn bead working from Elaine Longoria, a Native American from the Tubatulabal tribe.  In this looming class students will be involved in a hands on workshop to learn how to warp (set up a loom) and weave the beads to make a charming bracelet.  Elaine will also provide her tips and tricks for a beautiful finished look.  The loom stitch is used to decorate, make jewelery, headbands, and many other beading accents.  This is a great beginners class for those interested in learning how to bead.

A lot of our members are doing really cool projects.  There is a lot of awesome stuff being made by people at the shop, but we only hear about a small fraction of it. We want to highlight them. Bring your project down to the shop.  Talk about it with other makers.  Aakin will take some decent pictures, do a writeup on it.

Lets share our good work!
