February 2019

Friday Mar 1, 2019 6:00 pm

We start our information security night off by just gathering and discussing what has gone on during our weeks and a general night to work on open source software and security.

At 7:30pm is when the podcast recording with the Greynoi.se podcast starts. All who come are welcome to sit in on the podcast or work on their projects as they would any other SYN Shop open night. The podcast hosts also setup a mic that is off camera if you would like to chime in on what is being discussed, or you would like to fact check them on the fly.

We're looking to make SYN Shop more awesome, so we've decided that Tuesday would be the perfect night to host a community project night.  It's an open night where we can work on projects to improve SYN Shop.  This is your night to make your local hackerspace even better.

Test

Join Richard as he quickly covers the major tules in the Danger room, and the Major Rules for safety in the danger room. This is a critical subject, and if you spend any time in the Danger Room, you should attend at least one. This class will shift the specific days of the week it is held on to get as much coverage to the membership as possible.

I want an excuse to practice my lock picking, so what better way then to schedule a themed open night that focuses on locksport.  This is a regular open night at SYN Shop so there will be no formal class.  However, if you want to work on your lock picking, please bring your lock pick set/practice locks/or other physical security type things to play with.  I do have some practice locks and picks which people can use if they do not have their own.
