How did the binary, digital computing devices that permeate our life, world and cell phones come to be?
The instructional part of the class will focus on the history of digital logic circuits that emerged to help provide a multitude of low-cost solutions to problem-solving within an analog world:
Introduction to Boolean Logic.
• Flow chart diagrams and decision symbols
• Logic gate schematic symbols
• How to implement abstract logic gates into physical digital circuits
• Build electronic digital logic circuits using AND, OR, and NOT gates.
During the practical part of the class, we will construct digital logic circuits that demonstrate the basic building blocks for implementing logic gates and binary mathematics.
Class fee includes a kit that can be taken home.
