SYN Shop - The Las Vegas Hackerspace

Many have asked how to go further with Arduino. This is a build night for Arduino where we will wire a circuit and write code together, step by step.  Students are required to bring a Laptop, Arduino, Data Cable, and Breadboard.  Students who do not bring all will not be able to participate

This class has a hard limit of 20 participants, so RSVP now to get in!

We were completely stunned by the great attendance at the Introduction to Arduino course.  This class picks up where introduction left off. We will be doing the introduction again in September.

Arduino

We will help you install Arduino studio on PC, Mac, or Linux, and show you how to get started.  We will be building up two simple cicuits on and sending data to and from the pc.

Friendly SYN Shop facilitators will be on hand to help you through all activities. If you have experience with bread boarding and soldering, I need 5 facilitators, please volunteer. I also need about 2-3 more temperature controlled soldering stations. Digital preferred.

Sample code, schematics, and courseware will be freely provided.

Our fine hosts, Pololu Robotics and Electronics, have electronic parts and kits available. If you purchase online before 2pm on the day of the class and use a local address, then you can select the pickup option and your order will be available at the class.  Please arrive a bit early to pick up  your new toys!

We recommend item 352, 830 point breadboard, and item 312, 140 piece wire kit. Together less than $11 at Pololu.

Pololu also has Arduino boards and kits available at http://www.pololu.com....   We recommend the Uno boards for beginners.  Note that the board by itself does not come with a USB A-B cable, so please bring one of your own.

There is no charge for this Prototyping, Soldering, and Arduino Hack Night, but donations to SYN Shop are always welcome. Or purchase a T-Shirt at https://synshop.org/s... and show your support!
